Project Administrator & Fire Safety Apprentice

We are growing and adding a hybrid role based in Winnipeg that combines project administration with a structured apprenticeship in fire safety, security and disaster planning. Join a team delivering high-impact safety, consulting, training, simulations, and compliance projects across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, revise, print, and assemble complex technical documents.
• Coordinate events, meeting documents revisions with clients and authorities having jurisdiction (fire departments, fire commissioners, law enforcement, provincial/federal authorities).
• Create work plans and schedules; update the corporate project management system.
• Support administrative tasks to ensure on-time, on-scope project delivery.
• Assist with training sessions, drills, and safety simulations in the field.
• Provide daily client communications and support to sales and operations teams.
• Learn and apply technical skills in fire safety and disaster planning.
• Assist projects accounting with data entry, recordi keeping and billing.
What You Bring
• Exceptional communication skills: fluent English (spoken & written) is essential.
• High attention to detail and ability to produce complex documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; other software is an asset
• Clear, concise communicator who meets deadlines and works well with clients and teams.
• Knoledge or willingness to learn to read blueprints and life safety systems.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and skills.(training provided).
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada; provide clear criminal record check and pass additional background checks if requested.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
• Walking, sitting, or standing for extended periods.
• Walking up and down multiple flights of stairs.
• Work on construction/client sites in hot or cold weather.
• Occasional travel across Manitoba and Canada may be required.
Preferred Background
• Previous experience in the security or fire safety industry.
• Academic education or and additional languages considered assets.
• Experience managing administration, assisting with accounting, information, and data entry.
• Indigenous applicants, Veterans, and candidates with prior law enforcement or emergency services experience will be given priority.
