FIRE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING

Our fire safety training courses, and emergency response training programs are customized to suit the size and structure of your organization, from training and drills involving core employees only, up to whole-staff and tenants training sessions.
Fire safety training is a key part of the fire plan implementation - the fire code requires staff to be trained and able to execute the procedures reliably.
KGICA offers unique time- and cost-effective methods to adjust the delivery and content for specific industries such as industrial, residential, retail, or office tower, while maintaining the same core message, and continuously improving KPIs.
Sessions can be run as a one-off event or scheduled on an annual basis to ensure training covers new employees and refreshes the knowledge of your existing team.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING

Our comprehensive program covers all aspects of fire safety and fire extinguisher training. These programs include: the expected hazards related to early-stage firefighting, identifying the type of fire, the correct fire extinguisher required for a specific fire, and how to assess whether it is safer to intervene or retreat to safety. Training is hands-on, allowing your employees to familiarize themselves with the different types of firefighting equipment in your building or facility. For many industries, fire extinguisher training is mandatory. We offer both real fire extinguisher training (where permitted) as well using the latest technology fire simulators. These are a cleaner alternative that can be used indoors in any setting, and any weather condition, allowing trainees to practice the actual operation of fire extinguishers and be suitably prepared.

FIRST AID, AED

We offer a range of first response training programs which instruct individuals on basic life-saving medical interventions. These incorporate pivotal response training, and emergency response training and encompass immediate bleeding control (Stop The Bleed), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and operation of an automated external defibrillator (AED).The courses combine in-person training with individual study and cover initial response, assessment of the situation, how to prioritize treatment, and the correct use of medical equipment to provide on-scene emergency care. Our instructors are active-duty senior paramedics and combat medics with years of experience. They bring industry-specific examples to life to ensure proper retention of the learned material and demonstrated techniques.

CORPORATE SAFETY TRAINING

Workplace safety relies on all employees conforming to the policies and procedures designed to maintain work safety and ensure that safety practices at work take place. This includes the safety of all staff when on route to and from work, attending events and meetings, or travelling for work purposes, potentially when accompanied by family members. We offer a comprehensive corporate safety training program that covers the management, implementation, and use of corporate safety guidelines, procedures, incident forms, emergency contact data, and checklists. Where knowledge gaps or weaknesses exist, we will recommend targeted supplementary training and provide support with planning and documentation to ensure your business is prepared and protected.

The training can be tailored to your specific needs and covers a range of areas such as working alone, working with hazardous materials, and safe operation of plant or machinery. Our training is flexible to your demands and organizational needs and can be delivered on a one-to-one or group basis, and includes in-person instruction, scenario-based learning, and takeaway materials for future reference and planning.

INSPECTIONS, AUDITS & TESTING TRAINING PROGRAM

Implementing a fire safety plan, disaster response plan, or employee training program is only the first step in ensuring organizational preparedness. Risk awareness and threat protection is a continual process, so regular checks are vital to ensure your planning is up-to-date and your employees’ understanding, and compliance remains current. We offer a full auditing and inspection service where we will examine your organizational preparedness from all angles, identify any weaknesses or omissions and recommend the necessary steps, such as training and support, to ensure your state of readiness. This program includes training your staff to conduct inspections and periodic testing to comply with local legal requirements.

ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING

Comprehensive active shooter training includes safe escape routes, shelter-in-place, emergency medical care, and coordinating with law enforcement. It also includes practical tools of survival during the event, and the ability and effective fight techniques. The program is based on NSA and RCMP guidelines, implementing the Run, Hide, Fight technique. In this audience-suited training, we are preparing for the worst in the hope it will never happen. The training is offered at the client site to ensure a realistic and familiar simulation or can be conducted at our training facility if preferred. In either case, we supply all materials, including realistic props, sound devices, and PPE.

BOMB THREAT TRAINING

Bomb threats may be delivered by a variety of in-person or electronic means, and while most threats turn out to be hoaxes, they must always be taken seriously. How quickly and safely you react to a bomb threat could save lives, including your own. Our training starts with detailed instruction on responding to bomb threats, including recording of communications, alerting authorities, and coordinating the safe evacuation of personnel and the public when and if required. Simulations and role-playing are utilized based on real-life events encountered by Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. These exercises allow every participant to identify their strengths and weaknesses. It helps with engraining the implementation of their response plan and mitigation strategies to follow if a bomb threat occurs.

Train your employees to identify suspicious packages and respond safely, including alerting law enforcement, securing the area, and implementing evacuation plans using safe and available tools. Our suspicious package training is hands-on, interactive, and fun with your employees, where we use actual packages and items and simulate step-by-step actions. This provides a great learning environment for employees to apply what they’ve learning from the training, and follow work safety procedures to gain exposure to more real-life situations, and how they differ from the false “Hollywood” image seen in movies.

FLOOD

Flooding can happen due to natural causes, such as extreme river or tidal levels, as well as infrastructure failures, such as burst pipes or tanks. In either case, the situation can become dangerous within a matter of minutes, posing an immediate danger to life and property. Learn how to create disaster recovery plans that are practical and identify the key steps and tools in disaster management planning. By having these plans, you’ll be able to respond in the event of flooding and protect personal safety, while also mitigating against further damage, evacuating, securing the premises, storing and accessing the disaster kit and supplies, and notifying the relevant authorities.
